AUMA organises the official German trade fair programme abroad in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.
As part of this programme, the Federal Government provides financial assistance for German participations at foreign events, but also for independent presentations by German industry abroad.
The interests of business and politics in this sector are coordinated by the Working Group for Foreign Trade Fair Participation, in which representatives of export-orientated associations regularly meet the representatives of the Ministries.
AUMA members include:
- the central associations of German business
(industry, trade, skilled trades, etc.)
- trade associations of the exhibiting and visiting industries who are interested in trade fairs
- the German trade fair and exhibition organisers and companies organising foreign trade fair participations.
